A Typical Toastmasters Meeting

Due to the Covid-19 and social distancing, our Club is following the guidelines of Toastmaster District 2 (d2tm.org), requesting all clubs to move all meetings to online forum during this period of social distancing.

From Mid-March thru June 1, 2020, this club will meet for 1.5-hour via an online Zoom Meeting.

7:30 – 7:43–Members arrive in Zoom meeting and test their audio and video settings.
7:45 – 7:48–The Sergeant at Arms explains Zoom Etiquette.
7:48 – 7:52–The President calls the meeting to order, welcomes guests, and introduces the member who will lead the day’s meeting.
7:52 – 7:57–The Toastmaster for the meeting introduces a few members who will be performing special roles for the meeting.
7:57 – 8:04–The first speaker for the meeting gives a speech from the Pathways educational program.
8:04 – 8:06–2 mins member evaluation to speaker.
8:06 – 8:13–The second speaker for the meeting gives a speech from the Pathways educational program.
8:13 – 8:15–2 mins member evaluation to speaker.
8:15 – 8:22–The third speaker for the meeting gives a speech from the Pathways educational program.
8:22 – 8:24–2 mins member evaluation to speaker.
8:24 – 8:42–The Table Topics Master leads an extemporaneous speaking exercise. Guests are invited to participate.
8:42 – 8:45–The General Evaluator leads the evaluation portion of the meeting. Introduces section and each evaluator.
8:45 – 8:54–Each evaluator delivers an oral evaluation of a speaker’s presentation.
8:54 – 8:59–The timer and the grammarian provide their reports.
8:59 – 9:05–The General Evaluator evaluates the evaluators, Table Topics Master, and the whole meeting.
9:05 – 9:08–The Toastmaster deliver closing  remarks.
9:08 – 9:12–The VPE review and assigned roles for next meeting, ask for guest feedback and ask for announcements.
9:12 – 9:15–The club president update and adjourns the meeting
