December 18: UP

This is it! The last meeting of the year 2021 ! 🙂 🎉

Toastmaster Jovica chose the theme UP, as he explained in his own words: “Think about what is that in human kind that inspires us to go up, up, up. Even when we reach the bottom of our lives the only way from there is to go up. Moving up is being hopeful. Moving up is striving to reach goals. Moving up inspires others.“

Sergeant at Arms Bill Scott shared with us zoom etiquette rules.

Word of the day, presented by Grammarian Jamie was:

gumption, common sense, horse sense.
Example:  It took a lot of gumption to speak up for yourself like that .

Affan was in charge of timing speakers, impromptu speeches and evaluators.

Our speaker for the day was:

Paula, presenting a speech about her experience as an Asset Manager, followed by a question and answer session.

– Paula – what would you say your podcast listening says about you in 2021?
